An amazing and fabulous silver brocade gown with the most incredible detailing around the waist! I love the fabric - it is made of a silver silk brocade that has a secondary gold thread woven into the fabric so depending on how the light catches it you get a shimmer of silver or gold. A nude silk mesh is set in at the waist and acts as a sexy band that gives the illusion from afar of a crop top over a maxi skirt. To further emphasize this separation a thick banding of three dimensional beading circles the entire waist both above and below that mesh. The bodice is a simple capped sleeve silhouette above this and the skirt flows to the ground in a widening arch below. The tag is Samuel Winston for Roxanne - and it is interesting to note that for a time Charles James actually worked for this company and Geoffrey Beene as well! Excellent condition!
The bodice is lined in a silk and the skirt in a silk organza. It closes with a painted back metal zipper.
